Our mission at Safecility is to make buildings safer using technology.

We do this by installing sensors which automate your safety compliance testing and report on the environment of your building. By installing our sensors your compliance is put on autopilot. The sensors replace manual compliance testing meaning tests are always completed on time. You’ll no longer have to worry about scheduling resources and planning technician visits and be able to get a clear overview of your buildings without needing to leave your office chair.

Compliance as a service allows building owners to install Safecility without any large upfront capital cost.

Payment is made through a monthly subscription charge making it easier for you to streamline your compliance and begin saving in year one.

As part of the service agreement project management of Safecility installation as well as all maintenance for 5 years is included. After 5 years, ownership of the devices transfers to you while data management using our cloud platform continues at a reduced monthly fee.

The ‘internet of things’ or IoT is used to describe devices which have been embedded with sensors, software and actuators to connect them with the internet, share data and even in some cases make the devices work. Like a remote control for your TV, IoT opens up the possibility for millions of devices to be monitored and controlled from afar.

In buildings, IoT can be used to keep an eye on conditions such as air temperature, humidity, occupancy and light levels. IoT can also be used to actuate changes in the building such as turning lights on or off, changing heating controls or opening and closing doors.

The use of IoT gives you context about what’s going on in your building. They can act quickly and efficiently to manage performance and potential issues making your life easier, and your buildings safer and more comfortable for tenants.

NBIoT is a type of low power wide area network technology that Safecility wireless sensors use to communicate. NBIoT was chosen due to its widely available coverage, deep extended range in all styles of buildings and security and reliability. NBIoT is cellular, meaning no hubs or gateways are required for the sensors to operate.

Safecility cost varies according to the size of your estate, how many luminaires are needed and what lighting is already installed. Once we know more about your situation we can prepare a proposal for you outlining costs. As a general guide, clients save between 50% and 75% on their total cost of ownership over 5 years by installing Safecility.

Savings will depend on the number of lights you have and the number of technicians you need at the moment to complete testing. We have an online savings calculator to help you quickly figure out how much money you can save.
